Registration & Licensing of Restaurants

Registration and grant of license to restaurants and eating establishments under the Pakistan Hotels & Restaurants Act, 1976.

Prescribed Form: Form G

Every restaurant and eating establishment serving the public within Sindh Province is required to be registered with the Directorate. Grant of license is subject to compliance with the prescribed standards of hygiene, service and public safety. The license is renewable as prescribed under the Act.

Required Documents

  1. Application on the prescribed Form G
  2. Copy of CNIC of the owner / proprietor
  3. National Tax Number (NTN) certificate
  4. Ownership documents or tenancy agreement of the premises
  5. Details of seating capacity and menu / tariff
  6. Paid fee challan as per the prescribed fee schedule

Procedure

Submission of Form G

The application on Form G, along with the required documents, is submitted to the Directorate.

Scrutiny & Fee

The application is scrutinised and the prescribed fee is deposited through challan.

Inspection of Premises

An officer of the Directorate inspects the premises to verify hygiene and service standards.

4

Grant of License

Upon fulfilment of requirements, the Registration Certificate / License is issued.
