Certification and licensing of professional tourist guides under the Sindh Tourist Guide Act, 2011.

Persons intending to act as tourist guides within Sindh Province are required to be certified by the Directorate. Certification is granted upon fulfilment of the prescribed qualifications and requirements for the professional conduct of guided tourism. The certificate is renewable as prescribed under the Act.

Educational / training certificates
Recent passport-size photographs
Evidence of language proficiency and knowledge of heritage sites
Character certificate and paid fee challan
How It Works
Procedure
1
Submission of Application
The application on the prescribed form, along with the required documents, is submitted to the Directorate.

Scrutiny of Application
The application and documents are scrutinised for completeness and eligibility.

Interview / Examination
The applicant may be assessed on knowledge of heritage, culture and professional conduct.
4
Payment of Fee (Challan)
On clearance, the prescribed fee is deposited through the designated challan.
5
Grant of Certificate
Upon fulfilment of all requirements, the Tourist Guide Certificate / License is issued.
